Should I pay the bond amount?

Situation : I signed a contract with a company (employer) which had a Clause that in case of failure to join the company, I will need to pay INR 25,000. After signing, I heard many bad reviews about the company and decided not to join. Now the company is asking me to pay the amount INR 25,000 (to cover loss of recruitment cost, waiting time etc) failure to which they will take legal action. Am I legally bonded to pay the amount?

First check out the that whether that company is authentic or not. There are many fake compnies in the market which are cheating the people. If you find any wrong then lodge police complaint to. If the company is genuine then first go through agreement then we will decide.
