SAPINDA

Situation : I have a question I know a friend who is married to her Uncle (Mothers Borther) in Andhra Pradesh. The above marriage is Invalid by Hindu Marriage act under SAPINDA Now there is a clause that if SAPINDA is a custom 'unless the custom or usage governing each of them permits of a marriage between the two' . I asked my friend if there has been any such relationship that she know of in her immediate family. in 1 or 2 generations. She said no. Is this enough to establish grounds for making her marriage void. Awaiting your reply Regards Varma

Dear Sir,

In rarest of rare circumstances such suits will be filed for getting divorce. In my view you may had some other grounds also to get divorce.
