Builder asking for more money citing taxation on EDC & IDC

Situation : Hi I purchased an under-construction property in Jan 2018. - During the price discussion they quoted an all-inclusive fee - The contract they got me into said price + applicable taxes - Now the builder is asking for more money saying that government has clarified that EDC & IDC are taxable and so I have to pay more. Apparently they had assumed that EDC & IDC were not taxable at the time of contract. I do understand that if taxation changes are made post contract then I have to bear the cost implications. However, it seems that government had clarified in 2017 (even before my contract) that EDC & IDC were taxable. Yes, I missed doing that piece of research as I had gone by the bulder's words. But can anything be done now since it seems to be a planned misrepresentation of fact (they suppressed the taxation part on EDC & IDC and quoted a lower all-inclusive fee keeping taxes deliberately out of contract) to take out more money in the name of goverment taxes? Thanks!

Dear Sir,

If the terms of sale agreement are in your favour or silent about such taxations then you may get issue a legal notice and avoid payment of extra money to the builder.
