Can Bidder get documents of property before bidding

Situation : Sir there is bidding on 28 February in a private bank I want to purchase the veccant site in auction I went to bank on 8th with public notice given and requested for the documents to verify but the bank is telling that if they sell any property under Sarfesi 2002 act with the condition is as where it as basis they need not show any property document or loan documents of borrower to interested bidder as part of their company policy.is that true.If I purchase with out checking any documents if any problem comes any how they are not responsible.I hope they are MI’s guiding.if it is true it is dangerous to purchase property in bank auction please advice on this
